Yes. One of the best times to hire an interior designer is before construction begins. We collaborate with homeowners, architects, and builders to ensure the home's layout, lighting, cabinetry, electrical plans, and finishes all work together beautifully.

4. Do I need an interior designer before hiring a contractor?

Ideally, yes. Hiring a designer early helps prevent expensive changes during construction. We develop the design, layouts, and selections before work begins, allowing your contractor to build with confidence.

5. How does your design process work?

Every project begins with an initial consultation where we discuss your goals, lifestyle, budget, and timeline. From there, we create a customized proposal with the steps needed to meet your design goals.  

6. What is Chief Architect, and why do you use it?

Chief Architect is professional design software that allows us to create highly detailed floor plans and realistic 3D renderings before construction begins. This helps clients visualize their future home, make informed decisions, and avoid costly mistakes during the renovation process.

7. Will I be able to see my home before construction starts?

Yes. We create detailed 3D visualizations that allow you to experience your space before construction begins. Seeing the design in advance gives you confidence in every decision and minimizes surprises.

8. Can you work with my architect or builder?

Absolutely. We frequently collaborate with architects, builders, and contractors to ensure every design detail is coordinated from concept through construction.

9. Do you only work on large projects?

No. While many of our projects are whole-home renovations and new construction, we also design individual rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices.

10. Can you help redesign my kitchen?

Yes. Kitchen design is one of our specialties. We focus on creating kitchens that are beautiful, functional, and tailored to how your family lives. We carefully plan cabinetry, appliance placement, lighting, storage, workflow, and finishes.

11. Do you design bathrooms?

Yes. We create bathrooms that combine luxury with everyday functionality, including custom vanities, lighting, tile design, plumbing fixture selections, storage solutions, and accessible layouts when needed.

12. Do you provide furniture and decorating services?

Yes. We offer complete interior furnishings, including furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, accessories, window treatments, and styling to create a cohesive, finished home.  We attend Highpoint Furniture Market every year to maintain relationships with leading furniture manufactures and see their new product launches.

13. Can you help with color selections?

Absolutely. We guide clients through paint colors, cabinetry finishes, flooring, tile, countertops, fabrics, wallpaper, and every finish needed to create a harmonious design.

14. How involved will I be in the design process?

As involved as you'd like to be. Some clients enjoy making every decision together, while others prefer to rely on our expertise. Our process is collaborative and tailored to your comfort level.

15. How long does a typical project take?

Every project is unique. A single-room redesign may take a few months, while a whole-home renovation or new construction project can take significantly longer depending on construction schedules, custom products, and lead times.
