Barbara Rose brings over 20 years of experience to every project, specializing in both remodels and new construction builds. Her passion lies in guiding each project from the first sketch to the final flourish, transforming houses into homes that not only look beautiful but feel beautiful too.
At the heart of Barbara’s work is a simple belief: your home should make you happy. It should feel good to walk into; calm, balanced, and deeply personal. Every space she designs is created with intention, blending comfort, function, and beauty to reflect the people who live there.
Barbara’s approach is as personal as it is professional. She values the long-term relationships formed throughout the design process, often finding that her clients become like family. By offering the kind of dedicated, one-on-one attention that large design firms can’t match, she ensures that each client’s experience is warm, collaborative, and uniquely tailored.

Background and Approach
Barbara began her creative journey studying Fine Arts at the New York Institute of Technology, where she was commissioned to paint custom kiln-fired tile murals. Her love of art and architecture evolved naturally into a passion for interior design. After earning her Interior Design Degree in 2001 and gaining experience with a local firm, she founded Barbara Rose Designs in 2003.
To Barbara, every room is a canvas and an opportunity to apply the artistic principles of balance, unity, rhythm, proportion, and emphasis to create harmony and flow. Her interiors are timeless yet alive with personality, designed to support well-being and bring daily joy.
Today, Barbara continues to design a wide range of residential projects, from full-home renovations to single-room transformations. As a professional member and board member of the Interior Design Society (IDS) Long Island Chapter, she remains deeply connected to the design community and committed to lifelong learning through continuing education, vendor collaboration, and trade shows.
